Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain paper roll inventory on presss
• Order correct quantity and type of paper
• Shift paper rolls and locate on press
• Set up splicer for continuous feed
• Participate in make readies and hanging plates
• Fill ink fountains and check conductivity
• Performs initial check out
• Act as second press operator when required
• Enter required shop floor data into Technique
• May handle hazardous waste as part of daily job functions
• Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Monitor/Assess performance of yourself and others to make improvements or take corrective actions
• Ability to perform basic math functions
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
• Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations
• Must work well with others
• Must be flexible and open to change when needed
• Able to follow instructions and make decisions
• Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders
• Must have some printing experience
• The ability to work 10 to 12 hour shifts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have some printing experience
• Minimum 1-year Press Room experience
• Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions
