Job description

We are seeking a high energy, efficient candidate and someone striving to succeed and grow within the team. The Manpower SME will provide specialized knowledge and expertise in Department of Defense (DoD) manpower management, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel resources within the ABMS Program Office. The SME will analyze, develop, and influence manpower policies and procedures, and provide strategic guidance to leadership on manpower planning and resource allocation, with a focus on Strategic Resource Management and the Resource Identification Tool in the Program Management Resource Tool (PMRT). Responsibilities: Manpower Analysis:Conduct comprehensive analyses of manpower requirements and utilization to ensure alignment with mission objectives and organizational goals.
Policy Development:Develop/recommend manpower policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the DoD framework.
Strategic Planning:Provide strategic input on manpower planning, including forecasting future manpower needs and developing long-term plans, with an emphasis on Strategic Resource Management.
Resource Allocation:Advise on the allocation and distribution of personnel resources to optimize mission readiness and operational capability, utilizing the Resource Identification Tool in PMRT.
Data Management:Maintain and analyze manpower data, ensuring accuracy and integrity of information in manpower databases.
Training and Development:Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of personnel in manpower management.
Collaboration:Work closely with other departments and units to ensure integrated and cohesive manpower planning and management.
Compliance:Ensure compliance with USAF and DoD regulations, policies, and standards related to manpower management.
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manpower management or a related field within the military or defense sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in manpower management software and tools, including the Resource Identification Tool in PMRT.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of USAF and DoD regulations and policies related to manpower management.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor personnel.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to think strategically and provide long-term solutions.
An active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
The ability to work in a secure, confined location (i.e., SCIF).
