Salary Range: $65k - 75K Permanent Position with Benefits A busy Industrial Steel Company located in the Greater Canton / Massillon, Ohio area seeks an experienced Metallurgist who has experience working in an industrial rolling mill / cast iron foundry production plant environment. The Metallurgist will be responsible for determining the types of roll materials, pouring mechanics, heat treatments and required destructive and non-destructive testing to assure that the finished product meets customer specifications. REQUIREMENTS: The Preferred Candidate would have an Associate or a Bachelor Metallurgical Engineering degree or related Engineering degree and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on metallurgical industry experience working in a steel mill / cast iron foundry. Candidates who have been trained in the Standard Operating Procedures of a Steel Mill / Foundry and have an understanding of centrifugal casting concepts, heat treating equipment, rolling mill applications and general foundry equipment is highly desired. Candidates should have solid computer skills to record information into databases, spreadsheets, and write comprehensive reports. Experience with SyteLine Software is a plus. Candidates should be familiar with the use and operation of Industrial Safety Equipment: hard hat, welding gloves, fire resistant jacket, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.
