Job Description: Oversees and supervises the functions of the Warehouse, Material Handling, Traffic, Receiving, and Shipping. Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued. Supervises the verification of material received to determine irregularities. Instructs employee to recognize damaged, incorrect material, equipment, and notify the appropriate individuals of same. Supervises employees who use a variety of equipment such as forklifts, hand carts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods within a plant, office, or warehouse. Oversees the processing and delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment. Manages daily operations of Logistics Department; see that inbound and outbound freight schedules are met; ensures adherence to corporate policies and procedures; makes optimum use of equipment and staff to maximize productivity of every function. Ensures compliance to 49 CFR and IATA. Essential Functions: Conduct basic supervisory functions such as work scheduling, prioritizing, process execution, and personnel management
Operate WMS system to ensure overall inventory accuracy
Manage inventory levels for direct, indirect, and MRO materials
Lead the team in internal and external audits
Champion Corrective Actions Requests
Ensure Associates are complying with procedures and policies
Manage training of team
No travel required, occasional overtime
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Perform tasks using a ladder with possible heights up to 10ft. Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25lbs. Ability to learn the WMS system (Costpoint/Cognos) and process transactions electronically and physically to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
2 years experience operating a Warehouse Management Software
Must be a United States Citizen.
Must be able to qualify as an ATF Responsible Person.
Ability to obtain a security clearance if required.
2 years or more experience with basic/intermediate Microsoft and computer knowledge.
Preferred Additional Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
Demonstrated aptitude in DOT regulations Experience with HAZMAT handling and shipping
Experience with Lean or Electronic Manufacturing
Ability to learn the WMS system (Costpoint/Cognos) and process transactions electronically and physically to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
