Job Description: Assists the department supervisor with coordination of work assignments, training new employees and completion of daily reports and paperwork. Handles various production issues and is the resource to others for resolution of complex problems and issues. Leads others effectively and gains cooperation without having formal authority over them. Acts in place of supervisor when needed. The Operations Lead is not responsible for issuing disciplinary action but will provide input regarding employee performance and conduct. Essential Functions: Effectively communicate with all employees in a professional manner. Maintain data charts, cell metric board, and other pertinent program information. Maintain the daily shipping book to highlight early any shipping risks and work with relevant others to mitigate the risks.
Assist in maintaining department compliance with policies, procedures, and standards including training sign off of team personnel. Ensure team members are properly trained for assigned duties, including program cross training and completion of on the job training. Work closely with supervisors and engineering to develop efficient techniques to maximize throughput. Actively participate in program meetings and serve as a resource in the resolution of problems and issues related to production. Support and promote Lean Manufacturing efforts including 5S, execution and adherence to playbooks where applicable, and explanation of the cell communication board metrics to anyone who inquires.

Qualifications: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
J-STD-001 Solder Certified
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance if required
2 years Previous experience training others
6 years relative experience to manufacturing
Preferred Additional Skills: Ability to read part prints
Familiar with DCS
Ability to ready part prints Previous experience training others
Active Clearance if required
