Job description

A Sales Manager at That 1 Painter both estimates and manages all their jobs and is ultimately responsible for every lead, customer, and project they are assigned. The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the revenue targets of the location, maintaining consistent profitably, and achieving an excellent reputation within the That 1 Painter territory among its customers.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Pursuing strategic relationships on behalf of That 1 Painter. Help develop a network and generate leads. This will include knocking door to door, connecting with realtors, property managers, and other helpful networking contacts, etc.
  • Estimating on-site or virtually with potential customers as needed using company software and pricing.
  • Accurately estimating labor and materials on the quote and submitting the quote to the customer within 24 hours.
  • Following up with all quotes seven times within six months or until approved/rejected
  • Scheduling approved estimates in accordance with GM guidance.
  • Collecting deposits before the start of each job.
  • Upselling clients on additional services.
  • Communicating with customers concerning color and other basic preparations before the job starts.
  • Recruit and manage subcontractors.
  • Ensure jobs are appropriately staffed and materials availability.
  • Communicating with Project Managers and/or Subcontractors as needed after the job starts.
  • Ensure projects are kept on schedule and within budget while meeting clients' needs and delivering a quality project.
  • Help problem-solve with crew leads if problems arise on any project.
  • Generate schedules and plans of operation for painting projects.
  • Pursue strategic relationships on behalf of That 1 Painter (realtors, property managers, roofers, etc.).
  • Attending and contributing to all staff meetings.
  • Identify potential issues and ensure timely decisions are made.
  • Network and promote That 1 Painter.
  • Being the best house guest.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Sales Acumen - Home Services Sales experience (preferred)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Ability to learn and work independently in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated
  • Superb time management, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and reliable
  • Ability to accurately estimate product and labor costs
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer, cell phone, and software programs
  • Confidence in communicating paint products and services
  • Ability to answer complex paint-related questions
