Salary: $90,000 - 110,000/year

Job Description:

The Systems Integration Specialist is responsible for direct oversight of automation integration project's installation and engineering including, but not limited to, engineering development, software/hardware purchasing, programming, system networking, customer interface development and commissioning. In addition to project installation, the Systems Integration Specialist must also be conscious of all budgetary impacts to redeem the highest possible gross profit. The budgets of all active projects will be reviewed regularly by the Automation Design Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generate estimates, project schedule, design and engineering/programming as needed to manage the installation, commissioning, and turnover of specific projects.
  • Interface regularly with project team (CMs, GCs, PMs, TCCs, etc ) , customers and vendors.
  • Coordination and design of Client IP networking standards including, but not limited to, implementation and maintenance of Client cyber security standards, software certificates and cloud management.
  • Coaching other members of the automation team, sharing technical and customer knowledge in a helpful and timely fashion. This will typically include producing documentation and/or developing and delivering technical briefings or coaching sessions for colleagues.
  • Provide oversite of team members on a per project basis.
  • Complete Client customer interface development (graphics, alarming, trending etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC controls and software problems.
  • Responsible for tracking and projections of associated project budget and schedule.
  • Responsible for maintaining system integration standards and processes that increase project profitability.
  • Manage field commissioning of control system integrations and operability.
  • Development and execution of control system operational training for customers.
  • Other tasks as assigned within the scope of this role.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in the HVAC automation field.
  • Bachelor's degree or extensive installation and programming background.
  • Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Solid understanding of a wide variety of mechanical HVAC systems
  • Solid understanding of IP and Client system networking
  • Proficient in Client/Client data management and cyber security practices
  • Proficient in a multitude of communication protocols including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, BACnet, LonWorks, and Modbus
  • Proficient in Tridium, Trane Tracer Summit, Distech and a solid understanding of control system architectures
  • Proficient user of Microsoft office suite; highly proficient use of Excel and other software used in the construction industry
  • Excellent mathematic skills in order to perform the duties of this role, including but not limited to review or preparation of budgets and other job-related documents
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written); must be able to effectively relay information to various audience groups, including, but not customers and perspective customers, managers, leadership, colleagues, and business associates; must be able to prepare professional written communications (emails, documents, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with individuals internal and external to the company and from various backgrounds
  • Highly collaborative and focused on sharing details routinely and consistently with team members
  • Self-managing, able to work autonomously when necessary and effectively integrate with project teammates to meet deadlines and expectations
