Quality Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager at our plant. This hands-on role is perfect for a dedicated professional who lives and breathes quality. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing our quality assurance program to ensure continuous production of products that meet established standards. You will achieve this through direct involvement and leadership of your team.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Represent the "Needs of the Customer" in internal functions to ensure customer-specific requirements and quality standards are met.
  • Advocate for the selection of appropriate special characteristics to be implemented on the plant floor.
  • Manage and update inspection instructions and control plans for all new products.
  • Oversee the continuous review of capability studies to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Set and monitor quality objectives as documented in the Plant Quality Plans.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Prevent nonconformities related to product, process, and quality system through proactive measures.
  • Analyze product defects and recommend modifications for correction to maintain a continuous improvement effort.
  • Serve as the main customer liaison for any quality-related concerns.
  • Control processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming products until issues are resolved.
  • Manage all aspects of plant quality personnel, including assessing current capabilities and ongoing development.
  • Oversee receiving inspection, final audit, test lab, internal audit program, gage and calibration process, and material traceability activities to ensure the effectiveness of the Quality System.

Profile:


  • Strong mathematical skills, including probability, capability, and statistical analysis.
  • Maintain proper certifications and qualifications, and monitor and communicate quality-related operational metrics.
  • Evaluate and guide direct reports to perform defined activities and prepare for future demands related to strategic and operational plans.
  • Experience as a Tier 1 Quality Manager/Engineer to the Automotive OEMs is desirable but can be substituted with other relevant education and experience.
