Responsibilities What You'll Do This exciting opportunity will be a rewarding chance to learn and support our country in the College of Strategic Security Cooperation (CSSC) and the Defense SCO Institute (DSI). Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, working within the design and development of curriculum and course content for both classroom and online delivery methods utilizing Instruction Systems Design (ISD) principles and managing deliverables. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with SMEs to define and analyze learning objectives to refine learning outcomes. Assist faculty with course design and the development of applying advanced instructional strategies. Assist faculty in course design with scenario-based or experiential learning activities using the latest rapid-development applications consistent with DSCU practices. Previous experience designing scenarios and/or simulations and have a firm grasp of the concepts of immersion and engagement. Ability to work with a cross functional team for adult learning design and development in an agile development environment including rapid authoring and complex multi-media modalities. Support SMEs in the course design and development process by applying advanced instructional strategies, methods, and techniques in adult learning and learning sciences. Provide expert advice in adult learning and instructional design to recommend appropriate learning strategies and instructional methods consistent with DSCU practices. Review instructional documents and learning materials. Previous experience working with a cross-functional team for adult learning design and development in an agile development environment including rapid authoring and complex multi-media modalities. Coordinating quotas and registrations for students and Military Departments. Updating/managing student information in the Security Cooperation Workforce Database (SCWD). Packing boxes with instructional materials for offsite classes. Advising organizational POC's and members of the Security Cooperation (SC), workforce of appropriate educational courses for SC positions based on enterprise needs. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Provide day to day support to CCSC and DSI. Work closely with staff, faculty, and students. Customer service and communication skills are important. Material & Equipment Directly Used Computer, office phone Microsoft Office Applications Various programming applications Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education / Certifications: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the work. The coursework must have included study in at least four of the following five areas: a. Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology: Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material. b. Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, and developing design strategy and models, to the improvement of instructional effectiveness. c. Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining the reliability and validity of evaluation instruments. d. Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training. OR e. Computers in education and training: Study of the application of computers in education and training, including selecting appropriate computer software. Experience: Minimum four years of experience in leading/managing full spectrum learning design and development; including two years of specialized experience in: a. Assisting in performing instructional development tasks supporting Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) of Distributed Learning in an Adult Classroom. b. Providing indirect training development support and technical support to commanders, course managers, instructors, and course writers. c. Operating hardware and software in consonance with the ADDIE process in designing and developing training in an Adult Classroom. This position requires knowledge of learning theories and the principles, methods, practices, and techniques of the Instructional Systems Field. The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $ 105,000 - 120,000 Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
