RETIREMENT PLAN ADMINISTRATOR POSITION SUMMARY: The Retirement Plan Administrator is responsible for all aspects of recordkeeping for client plans to ensure accurate processing in accordance with department service standards/deadlines and plan documents. RETIREMENT PLAN ADMINISTRATOR ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Plan Administration & Compliance
- Reconcile asset balances and process transactions (distributions, loans, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with plan documents and IRS/DOL regulations.
- Prepare required reports and compliance tests (e.g., Form 5500, RMDs, ADP/ACP).
- Serve as the primary contact for clients and coordinate with internal teams.
- Address client and auditor inquiries and support complex plan issues.
- Represent the firm positively in the community and professional organizations.
- Oversee projects, review results, and develop corrective actions.
- Participate in peer reviews and ensure accuracy in client communications.
- Guide team members on billing and core service identification.
- Support plan design consultations, new business transitions, and conversions.
- Perform plan calculations and handle special projects.
- Provide expertise on plan corrections and regulatory filings (e.g., DOL, VCP).
- Maintain accurate work logs and manage deadlines.
- Compile and reconcile data for reporting purposes.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of related TPA/retirement experience.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Certification: Progress towards ASPPA certification or willingness to obtain ASPPA certification is preferred.
- Proficient Computer Skills: Solid understanding of the Windows environment, including advanced use of Word and Excel. Experience with Datair software is a plus.
- Strong Analytical and Organizational Skills: High mathematical aptitude with keen attention to detail. Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility and Commitment: Willingness to work extended hours to meet critical client deadlines during peak periods.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities paired with strong accounting knowledge and a collaborative mindset.
