Job description

Overview LMI is seeking a Senior Consultant for critical lifecycle logistics equipment management supporting USAF weapon systems sustain ment. The consultant will work with a team of other lifecycle logisticians, while focusing on Government Furnished Equipment and Support Equipment Management. Position can be accomplished remotely. Responsibilities As a senior consultant in lifecycle logistics, the consultant will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of government and industry personnel to facilitate expeditious weapon system acquisition and cost-effective sustainment solutions for the Armed Overwatch program. Consultant will also serve as an advisor to government and industry personnel providing a blend of operational, program management and acquisition expertise. The ideal applicant is versatile, with a broad background in logistics-related disciplines with emphasis in Government Furnished Equipment and Support Equipment Management. Must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment with a flexible work schedule supporting multiple customers. Qualifications Required Education, Experience Associate's degree 12+ years' experience in defense logistics Experience with support equipment provisioning activities to support aircraft sustainment in both garrison and deployed operations. Experience in management of government property, including receiving, issuing, and tracking GFE Operational knowledge of the automated supply and service systems utilized. Operational knowledge of defense equipment management processes Preferred Education, Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (for example supply chain, logistics, operations research, aviation management) 15+ years' experience in USAF logistics Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-502, DoD Handbook of Acquisition Logistics and MIL-PRF-49506, Performance Specification, Logistics Management Information, and the Logistics Assessment Guidebook Experience in USAF equipment management processes Experience in the automated supply and service systems utilized Experience with resources, processes, procedures, design, considerations, and methods to ensure that all system, equipment, and support items are preserved, packaged, handled, and transported properly, including environmental considerations, equipment preservation for the short and long storage, and transportability.
