This position will be located at our customer's site in Kettering, OH. KOS is seeking a Test Engineer to assist with the development and sustainment of systems for the AFLCMC/GB4 program. The selected candidate will generate manual and automated test scripts to perform functional and non-functional testing of IT systems and software. Candidate must have a positive attitude and the flexibility to adjust to US Air Force and DoD IT mandates pertaining to the development and security safeguards of application systems. Responsibilities: Develops and executes test plans of GOTS applications in cloud environments Builds manual and automated test scripts Documents test results after all levels of testing have been completed Participates and coordinates regression testing throughout the Software Development Lifecycle Required Skills/Experience: Must be a U.S. Citizen Holds a successfully completed in-scope NACI, NACLC, T1, or higher background investigation or is eligible for an interim public trust while undergoing a new NACI, NACLC, T1, or higher background investigation. Experience developing Test plan Analysis documents 2 years of experience working on Agile Software Development Environment. Preferred Skills/Experience: Working knowledge of AF logistics systems and AF cataloging systems Experience with Static Code Analyzers Experience with applications in AWS Cloud One Experience with Azure DevOps Agile trained and/or certifications Working knowledge of software life cycle management Physical and/or Mental Qualifications, if applicable : Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
