Our client, a well-established and growing local organization is on the hunt for strong Accounts Payable professional to join their team. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, our client has become a trusted leader in their industry. As they continue to expand, they are currently seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to lead their accounts payable functions and contribute to their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and optimize the accounts payable process, including invoice coding, transaction posting, and payment processing.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve complex payment issues.
• Implement and maintain internal controls for accounts payable operations.
• Lead month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
• Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports and reconciliations.
• Develop and improve accounts payable policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor junior staff in accounts payable functions.
• Collaborate with other finance team members on cross-functional projects.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of recent experience dedicated to accounts payable required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices in accounts payable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.
• Extensive experience with enterprise-level accounting software and AP automation tools; SAP experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
