Job description

Duties Plans, organizes, and directs Special Access Program (SAP) security for programs/activities, its facilities and acquisition program systems, that support advanced or special programs and SCI material, at contractor/government locations Performs duties as the Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) for assigned programs/activity as defined in AF and DOD guidance Ensures that all elements of protection complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs throughout the progam Develops operating standards for Special Access Program facilities and provides technical expertise to senior level personnel on interpretation, clarification, and implementation of SAP directives Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship Required Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours. Random drug testing may be required depending upon the position being filled. Security clearance requirements are based upon actual position being filled. Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website. Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification required w/n 2 years of the EOD to this position. Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies in the following areas: 1. Expertise in program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. 2. Extensive knowledge of organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation of oversight of special programs security concepts, principles and practices. 3. Expertise in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the Center Commander. 4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. 5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. 6. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices.
