Job Purpose

Support NM (new model) development by utilizing simulation tools to virtually verify and mature product design and manufacturing processes before Die-Go. Share results, Mfg. requirements, and C/M proposals with ADC for improving quality and delivery.



Key Accountabilities

  • Perform 3D tolerance stack & FEA studies for system-level engineering analysis.

  • Collaborate with ADC & DEB1F to ensure product designs meet Mfg. requirements.

  • Support development of new capabilities and methodologies to support the Digital Mfg. theme.

  • Support Dim. Eng. process during development to propose/study new concepts at DCS timing.

  • Correlate production data to simulation to improve predictive CAE capabilities and methods.



Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience based on education.
  • Strong technical background with manufacturing experience and root-cause analysis related to vehicle quality.



Working Conditions

  • Local travel between plants/buildings on Ohio's campus will be required.
  • Special assignments for themes/projects may require short and infrequent international/domestic travel.
  • Expected 0-5 hours overtime per week as needed.
