About this Position:

The Data Analyst is responsible for collaborating with a team of digital problem-solvers to deliver consistent, data-driven business outcomes. The analyst will identify data improvement areas, develop standard procedures, inputs, and outputs for digital products, gather stakeholder feedback and buy-in, and building those solutions using a range of approved digital technologies to improve user experience and gain user efficiencies.

The Data Analyst will have a strong background in data analysis and data visualization. They should have experience working with large datasets, gathering requirements, scoping projects, and driving a project from inception to completion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to identify improvement areas and develop activities to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Develops standard procedures, inputs, and outputs for digital products and present to management.
  • Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with a team of digital problem-solvers to deliver consistent, data-driven business outcome.
  • Understand and empathize with customer to define and focus on the right problem to solve.
  • Gathers stakeholder feedback and buy-in to continuously improve processes and systems
  • Effectively lead data projects of high complexity and scope through the development of project criteria and management (include Business Plan linkage, strategic correlation, data/analytical connections)
  • Support key business initiatives with the development of products, data, applications, or analytics driven strategies through an iterative approach to project management.
  • Break large projects into manageable tasks to be completed in short iterations and adapt to changing project requirements driven by changes in business conditions or characteristics.
  • Roadmap project landscape, collaborate, plan sprints (work), and optimize workflow to deliver key milestones, maximizing value for Honda.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
  • Defines output and benefits of projects and clearly conveys and displays these benefits to Honda leadership.
  • Promotes programs throughout North America to drive collaboration and engagement.
Who we are seeking:

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics/Computer Science, Supply Chain, Purchasing or Technical field (i.e., IT, Engineering) or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
  • 8+ years' experience in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, IT, or Purchasing
Other Job-Specific Skills:
  • Proven skills in the following: computer skills; effective verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Jupyter, Docker, Tableau, PowerBI, or other open-source tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Collaboratively design user-centric solutions.
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimum supervision; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with limited direction.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a team-based work environment.
  • Design thinking experience.
Additional Position Factors:
  • Position is Hybrid
  • Typical travel: 5-10%
  • Approx. 5 hours per week overtime, more possible during peak project activity
