Job description

Beckett Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, located in West Chester, OH, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our esteemed team on a part-time basis. This opportunity offers the chance to make a profound difference in the lives of children and adolescents struggling with mental health challenges.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive History and Physicals (H&Ps) for children and adolescents enrolled in our outpatient program at both our Main Campus and Wunnenberg site. The Wunnenberg site, situated approximately 200 yards from the main campus, is dedicated exclusively to adolescent outpatient services. Additionally, the PMHNP will be called upon to provide coverage for adolescent inpatient H&Ps on an as-needed basis for our 12-bed adolescent unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough History and Physical assessments for children and adolescents in the outpatient setting, including both Main Campus and Wunnenberg site.
  • Provide on-call coverage for adolescent inpatient H&Ps as needed, typically ranging from 4 to 7 assessments per week.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care and clinical practice.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatry/Mental Health.
  • Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) required.
  • Valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and patients.
