Columbus Speech & Hearing has immediate openings for full-time Speech Language Pathologists to serve at all three of our growing locations.
We are looking for both professionals with experience and CF's looking to start their career. Speech Pathologists at CSH gain valuable experience working with diverse clients in a collaborative, non-profit clinic that has been a part of the community for over 100 years.
We provide crucial access to families in need of speech and language services. Some of our teams are able to reach into the community and provide the specialized support individuals need to thrive with their communication goals.

Our offices are open Monday through Friday, and we accommodate a variety of work schedule options. Evening hours are required.

Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Department: Speech
Source of Supervision: Director of Clinical Services
Classification: Regular, Exempt
Function: To provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to children and adults of all ages with communication disorders in speech and/or language.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
Manage clinical caseload for all assigned clients. Clinical responsibilities include completing screenings, evaluations, treatment and/or consultative recommendations, generating all necessary client documentation, providing volunteer training/supervision if indicated, and meeting the high standards of the Center as described in our mission, vision, and core values.
Provide services at the Main Center, contract sites, community-based preschools, and/or community-based childcare facilities, as assigned.
Follow all policies and procedures of the Center as outlined in the Center and departmental manuals (ex. meeting deadlines for documentation, adhering to attendance standards, adhering to the dress code, etc.).
Complete special assignments, as requested (ex. sub for group programs, serve on committees; provide in-service trainings to peers, etc.). Participate in at least one community event (ex. health fair, community presentation, walk-a-thon, etc.) per year.
Work with the Director of Speech Services to determine a work schedule that meets the needs of the Center.
Attend weekly Department Staff Meetings and monthly Center Staff Meetings, unless excused by the Director of Speech Services.
Create and meet annual goals as a part of the performance review process, including meeting department productivity standards.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES
Master's degree in speech/language pathology.
Hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Hold or be actively acquiring a license in speech pathology from the State of Ohio.
Hold license in speech pathology from the Ohio Department of Education, if necessary.
Meet the health standards of the Ohio Department of Health, if required as a part of a specific clinical assignment (ex. preschool, school contract).
Meet CMS mandate requirements including being fully vaccinated against COVID allowing for accommodations as the law requires.
Physical requirements: must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, must be able to sit on the floor to interact with young children for extended periods of time, and must be able to move efficiently and quickly from one position to another.
