Requirements:

Ohio license in Social Work (LSW) or Counseling (LPC) required, in addition to the education required to obtain each license (Bachelors or Masters in Social Work Masters in Counseling). Independent license preferred.
5+ years of experience working with and riding horses, including a fundamental understanding of behaviors and psyche of horses, including, but not limited to grooming, saddling and riding in the Western and/or English discipline(s).
General understanding of barn management and general equine health is strongly preferred.
Natural Lifemanship certification strongly preferred.
Must be physically able to ride and handle horses weighing up to 2000 pounds, and of various sizes.
Must be able to lift/move up to 75 pounds regularly and more, on occasion.

Responsibilities:

TEAM first.
Provide equine-assisted and non-equine-assisted mental health services in individual or group settings.
Facilitate mental health assessments, providing accurate diagnoses.
Complete treatment plans in collaboration with client.
Submit all clinical documentation, notes, and paperwork according to agency standards/requirements - typically, no less than weekly.
Participate in peer review and other quality-improvement activities, such as supervision.
Ensure personal productivity/expectations standards are met.
