The U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence and Fort Sill (USAFCOEFS), U.S. Army Field Artillery School (USAFAS), 428th FA Brigade, Fort Sill, Oklahoma provides Advanced Individual Training (AIT) instruction to students in the 13M MOS. Required Skills & Experience Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the 13M MOS, within the last 10 years. Active SECRET security clearance. Qualified and demonstrate the operation of the following systems: MLRS, AFATDS, AMP-V Digital Systems: AN/GHyK-63, VRC-92F, OE-254 Vehicles: M142 HIMARS, M207A1 MLRS, M9854A HEMTT, M989A1 HEMTT, M1084A1 RVSV, LMTV/FMTV, HMMWV. Duties and Responsibilities: Instruct AIT Soldiers in the 13M MOS. Training includes classroom, hands-on, simulation/virtual, field environment and exercises, combat scenario driven, and live fire in a realistic and safe environment. Provide input for updates/training to the Program of Instruction (POI) Maintain and update lesson plans. Present instruction on the individual and crew level skills, tasks, and duties for the employment and operation of the 13M systems and equipment. Administer examinations, evaluate test results, correlate test results of the student's ability, and provide recommendations to academic deficiency panels on changes and student status. Use prescribed texts, student outlines, advance sheets, worksheets, technical and field manuals, schematics, logic diagrams, and publications in preparation and conduct of ADA TADSS support. Follow instructional techniques and procedures specified in United States Army Air Defense Artillery School (USAADASCH) regulations: TRADOC Regulation (TR) 350-6, TR 350-18, TR 350-70, TR 570-4, and school memorandum. Analyze AIT individual and class academic duty performance and shall provide recommendations for improvement to the COR concerning course materials, methods of instruction, and performance evaluation. Conduct periodic reviews of the POI for each of the specified 13 Series MOSs to ensure all materials and instructions agree with current, applicable doctrinal publications, and make recommendations to the COR to update the POI. Conduct an End of Course Evaluation Assessment (critique). Assist in the preparation, set-up, and tear-down of necessary equipment, including vehicles before and after daily operations. Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires, fuse replacements, etc. Clean vehicles and equipment when returning from field training using wash racks and pressure washing facilities. Clean cab and vehicle interior. Ensure that loading/unloading and operation of military equipment/system vehicles is done safely, and that cargo and military personnel are protected. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness throughout instruction. Analyze course effectiveness and provide recommendations for any necessary changes.
