Ammunition Handler Location: Fort Sill, Oklahoma - Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), 434 TH FA BDE Employment Class: Full Time Regular Position Summary: Potawatomi Training, LLC (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Ammunition Handler to conduct ammunition management services at Fort Sill, OK in support of 434 th FA Brigade. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Work as part of a shift (day/night) to support ammunition operations for 434 th FA Brigade. Conduct ammunition operations at the Ammunition Supply Point (ASP), Ammunition Holding Area (AHA), Building 6004 Ammunition Platoon Office, Fort Sill, Oklahoma and the field training areas. Receive, load/unload, transport, account, store, and turn-in ammunition IAW ATP 4-35.1 Techniques for Munitions Handlers and 434th FA BDE Administrative & Operations Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Break down and inspect all ammunition that is to be delivered to the ranges. Operate various military vehicles in order to transport ammunition, articles, supplies, materials (gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds up to 26,000 pounds to include 5-ton trucks, MTVs, and HMMWVs). Conduct PMCS and limited emergency repairs such as changing tires, fuse replacements, etc. Clean vehicles and equipment when returning from field training utilizing wash racks and pressure washing facilities. Maintain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in ammunition handling. Possess a current and up to date Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement and meet all licensing requirements outlined in DOD 4500.9-R, Defense Transportation Regulation, Chapter 204, Section B, paragraph 3b. Completed, or able to complete Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC) or Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC) Knowledgeable of AR 600-55, The Army Driver and Operator Standardization Program (Selection, Training, Testing, and Licensing); USAFACFS Supplement 58-1, Management, Acquisition, and use of Motor Vehicles. Other Requirements: Shall have the ability to lift 80 pounds or more to meet mission requirements (anything requiring to be lifted in excess of 80 pounds two individuals shall lift). Motor vehicle operator work assignments involve light physical effort in reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, and turning or moving arms and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Moderate physical effort is required to lift and move cargo, supplies, and materials. Greater physical effort is required in maneuvering vehicles due to their size and weight. Considerable physical effort may be required to perform limited emergency repairs such as changing tires, fuse replacements, etc. Able to wear Kevlar when driving tactical vehicles (Army Issued 1 Ton Trucks and above) at all times. Licensed to operate the military vehicles within 90 days of hire (Government vans, stake bed trucks, HMMWVs and FMTVs). Able to pass a local security check and routine urinalysis.
