Job description

Description Position Title: 13J Instructor Location: Fort Sill, OK Clearance Level Required: Secret Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provide instructions to 13J MOS AIT students. All course materials will be provided for the instructors. Follow the approved Programs of Instruction (POI) for 13J MOS and prepare to teach to standard the contents of each lesson plan subject. Make modifications to adapt material to the needs of the class. Ensure the total time, training devices used, and topics are in accordance with approved POIs and lesson plans. TRADOC Regulation 10-5 core functions and capabilities apply. Present classroom and field instruction on the technical capabilities of the equipment and systems associated with each of the 13J MOS (AFATDS and AMP-V). The full spectrum of training includes but is not limited to classroom, hands-on, simulation/virtual, field environment and exercises, combat scenario driven, and live fire in a realistic and safe environment. This includes ensuring class begins and ends on time IAW the government approved schedule. Ensure all required resources are on hand and in good working condition NLT 15 minutes prior to beginning scheduled training. Present classroom and field instruction on the preparation, operation, and maintenance procedures required for 13J MOS systems and equipment (AFATDS and AMP-V). Present instruction on the individual and crew level skills, tasks, and duties necessary for the doctrinal employment and operation of the 13J MOS systems and equipment. Administer examinations, evaluate test results, correlate test results of the students' ability, and provide recommendations to academic deficiency panels on changes and student status. Use prescribed texts, student outlines, advance sheets, worksheets, technical and field manuals, schematics, logic diagrams, and miscellaneous publications in preparation and conduct of ADA TADSS support. Follow instructional techniques and procedures specified in United States Army Air Defense Artillery School (USAADASCH) regulations: TRADOC Regulation (TR) 350-6, TR 350-18, TR 350-70, TR 570-4, and school memorandum. Analyze AIT individual and class academic duty performance and shall provide recommendations for improvement to the COR concerning course materials, methods of instruction, and performance evaluation when requested. Conduct a periodic review of the POI for each of the specified 13 Series MOSs to ensure all materials and instruction agree with current, applicable doctrinal publications, and shall make recommendations to the COR to update the POI. Once approved by the Government, incorporate the approved updates into the POI. After completion of 13J Class the Course Manager (CM) will conduct an End of Course Evaluation Assessment (critique). The CM will provide a summary copy of the critiques to the contract lead, within 2 business days at the end of the course completion. Responsible for assisting in preparation, set-up, and tear-down of necessary equipment, including vehicles prior to and at the conclusion of daily operations. Perform limited emergency repairs such as changing tires, fuse replacements, etc. Repairs are performed at the discretion and abilities of the operator, based on established procedures and the extent of repair needed. Clean vehicles and equipment when returning from field training, utilizing wash racks and pressure washing facilities. Drivers shall also clean cab and vehicle interior by removing trash and dirt, picking items up, and/or removing dirt and mud. Ensure that loading/unloading and operation of military equipment/system vehicles is done safely and that cargo (e.g., supplies, materials) and military personnel are appropriately protected IAW established guidelines, rules, SOPs, and regulations Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the 13J MOS required by this contract. The five (5) years of experience shall be within the last 10 years. All 13J MOS Instructors shall possess a SECRET security clearance at time of hiring. Personnel shall provide proof of experience associated with the 13J Instructor requirement. Proof of qualifying experience submitted can be from any or a combination of the following: DD Form 214, Enlisted Records Brief (ERB)/Warrant/Officer Records Brief, Noncommissioned Officer Evaluation Report (NCOER), or Certificate of Completion (13J MOS Qualified).
