Departmental Overview Norman Regional Health System's Intermediate Care (IMC) staff cares for a wide variety of patients with complex medical conditions requiring intermediate or critical care. NRHS is an accredited primary stroke center and the IMC is our dedicated stroke unit for the health system. Job Summary Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Qualifications EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent GED. Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. EXPERIENCE Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience. (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Schedule 6:30 PM-7:00 AM, some weekend shifts required Work Shift Night Position Type Part-Time
