Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our client's finance team and help manage our financial operations in the dynamic service industry. The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient financial operations. This role involves working closely with the finance team and other departments to support business decisions through financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.


• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.


• Generate regular financial reports and present findings to management.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and collections.


• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.


• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.


• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations for corrective actions.

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.


• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.


• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and business decision-making.


• Analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.


• Provide cost analysis for various projects and initiatives.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.


• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.


• Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred


• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the service industry.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).


• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• High attention to detail and accuracy.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

• Salary: $60,000-70,000 per year depending on skills and experience.
