Job description

Overview As the Construction Project Manager (Government Contracting) you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing multiple on-going construction projects within the government contracting sector. Your responsibilities will span from project inception to completion, ensuring efficient execution, adherence to safety protocols, and successful delivery. This position requires a strong understanding of government regulations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Project Management: Manage day-to-day operations at construction sites, ensuring projects stay on track and meet deadlines. Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Monitor progress, address any issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, promoting a secure work environment. Comply with government regulations, including environmental standards and occupational health and safety requirements. Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and cost control. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Personnel Management: Lead and supervise construction teams, including project managers, engineers, and field staff. Foster teamwork, mentorship, and professional development. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and third parties to ensure project alignment with contractual obligations. Provide regular progress reports and address any concerns promptly. Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards throughout construction projects. Implement quality control processes and inspections. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting, specifically in construction operations. USACE experience preferred Proficiency in project management software and tools. Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with government procurement processes. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Desired certifications: QCS Certification, 30-Hour OSHA, Fall Protection Additional Information Location: Varies based on project assignments (may involve remote work).
