Job description

We are seeking a skilled Financial Services and Eligibility Advisor to join our client's team. In this crucial role, you will work directly with residents and their families to collect and assess financial information necessary for determining Medicaid eligibility. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, detail-oriented, and capable of managing various tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:



  • Financial Assessment: Evaluate financial information for new admissions and current residents transitioning to long-term care services.

  • Data Entry: Input resident income and asset details into the Financial Planning Questionnaire to identify potential Medicaid eligibility issues.

  • Document Management: Collect and manage financial documents during interviews and handle electronic transmission of documents (fax/email).

  • Program Oversight: Implement, monitor, and report on financial programs and processes.

  • Professionalism: Ensure all tasks are completed with professionalism and within required timeframes.


Desired Experience and Qualifications:



  • Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Relevant Experience: Background in a Business Office Manager or Admissions Coordinator role is beneficial.

  • Medicaid Knowledge: Understanding of long-term care Medicaid eligibility is preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Independence: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
