Job description

Essential Responsibilities: - Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position. -Will assist with the nursing assessment through data collection, observation, and obtainment of vital signs on assigned patients or clients. -Provide care according to an established nursing plan. -Observe changes in patient's condition and notify supervisory personnel if significant changes occur. -Provide routine ostomy care, nasogastric tube placement and feeding and placement and discontinuing of oral-gastric tube. Will initiate and monitor oxygen therapy according to physician orders or unit protocol. -Will suction and clean tracheotomy sites. -May administer oral, intravenous, intra-muscular, intra-dermal, subcutaneous, sub-lingual, vaginal, rectal and topical medications. -Prepare patients for routine physical examinations and assist the physician during examinations.

Required Certifications & Licensure: -Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC). - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Preferred
