Job description

Position Overview:
Pediatric diagnostic audiologists provide clinical audiology services to children who are seeking evaluation due to a suspected auditory disorder. Diagnostic audiology services will be provided in accordance with protocols, procedures, and policies established by the Director of Pediatric Audiology. Pediatric Diagnostic Audiologists work closely with a team of clinical audiologists and speech language pathologists to provide interdisciplinary hearing healthcare to the aforementioned patients. They also collaborate with medical and clinical providers outside of Hearts for Hearing, including but not limited to pediatricians, otolaryngologists, and speech language pathologists, and developmental specialists.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Routine diagnostic audiology including behavioral assessment of auditory function with standard and pediatric practices and procedures
Physiologic assessment of auditory function
Hearing screening
Educational audiology services and consultation
Contribute to regularly scheduled clinical staffings
Protect patients' privacy and well-being in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines
Completes patient visit notes within a timely fashion consistent with Hearts for Hearing policies and procedures
Completes billing in a timely fashion using accepted coding and billing practices endorsed by Hearts for Hearing
Ensures patient services comply with internal policies, clinical protocols, and are HIPAA compliant.
Maintains program ideals and standards, quality assurance and safety
Works with other members of the audiology team to assure successful communication and coordination between all programs and participate in strategic planning
Maintains state licensure to practice audiology and meets state CEU requirements
Performs other duties as needed or required

Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist
- Knowledge of medical imaging, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and aseptic technique
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
