Job description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of our instructional systems contract. This role will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of services, adherence to contractual obligations, and management of instructional quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders. Responsibilities Onsite Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of contract performance on-site, including coordination with customer representatives and administration of required services. Project Oversight: Establish and implement project budgets, milestones, staffing requirements, and internal project organization. Manage work performance and ensure contract compliance. Instructional Quality Control: Supervise and support quality control requirements. Evaluate and improve instructional systems design processes, training materials, and instructional delivery. Instructor Assessment: Observe and assess instructor classroom performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Develop and manage individualized Performance Improvement Plans to enhance instructional delivery. Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and refresher training to instructors, ensuring adherence to instructional delivery standards. Documentation and Reporting: Document and report on quality improvement activities, instructional performance issues, and trends. Analyze course requirements, learning objectives, and methodologies. Instructor Recruitment: Work with retired Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASIs) to recruit and manage qualified instructors. Understand FAA requirements and ensure resumes match the required skill sets for course approval. Communication: Maintain excellent communication with employees, federal personnel (CO, COR, Division, Branch, Course Management), and corporate office staff. Adapt communication strategies to engage retired ASIs who may have flexible working preferences. Organization and Planning: Develop and execute detailed plans for instructional delivery, including scheduling and adapting to last-minute changes. Understand the roles and responsibilities of contract support personnel. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline. Experience: Minimum of five years of adult education teaching experience, including: Design, implementation, and evaluation of instructional systems and materials. Observation and assessment of instructor performance. Development and management of Instructor Professional Improvement Plans. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and planning abilities. Ability to work independently and under general direction. Specialized knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, and operations is highly desired. Clearance: Must be able to obtain Public Trust Security clearance
