Research Fellow This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered. The Research Fellow will provide advanced research skills in various fields, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data coding, social science research, and statistical analysis. This position is open to individuals at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels, focusing on conducting applied and academic research to enhance understanding and practices in areas related to National Security. The Research Fellow will be responsible for coordinating research efforts with both internal and external agencies. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Research Fellow: $80,000 to $90,000 Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Research Fellow Responsibilities Include: Conduct original research, including documentary and interview research, focusing on national security-related topics and issues. Review, analyze, and document specific operational procedures and prepare technical reports. Develop, refine, and exercise models using simulation, emulation, and numerical/statistical analysis techniques for various research projects. Research and evaluate educational technologies, including web-based information sources, COTS solutions, and custom applications. Assess advancements in IT, ET, cybersecurity, big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Conduct usability and effectiveness studies by gathering feedback from students, faculty, and staff regarding IT and educational technologies. Investigate government and industry best practices in areas of academic interest such as program management and acquisition, integrating current research into educational settings to enhance quality and student welfare. Provide technical reviews and assist in the design and configuration of software and hardware for educational technologies that support instructional methods, including laboratories and distributed learning. Generate reports on research findings for publication or dissemination to academic and Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Research Fellow Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Background in a relevant field such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, social sciences, or a related area. Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis and research methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations. Experience in academic research or applied research settings is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with educational technologies and their application in instructional methods. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in cybersecurity, AI, and big data.
