The Opportunity:
The Senior Azure Engineer will mentor and support a team of cloud engineers in designing, implementing, and managing our Azure-based cloud infrastructure. We are looking for deep technical expertise in Azure services and the ability to guide strategic cloud programs that align with our goals.
The Day-to-Day:

- Coordinate the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Azure resources with Cloud Platform team so that Application development engineers have the right infrastructure available across multiple environments promptly
- Aide in designing and managing scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure and automation tooling for routine operation tasks for the deployed applications
- Manage cloud costs and improve resource usage to achieve cost efficiency
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the Azure environment through proactive monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting
- Investigate and monitor current-state cloud usage, solutions in use, risks, gaps, limitations and recommend solutions, optimizations and remediation
- Mitigate broken systems and prevent future disruptions
- Consult and contribute to process improvements of IT policies, procedures, tools, security controls and infrastructure
- Research and proof of concept activities, as well as providing recommendations for new technologies, techniques and tools to add value by increasing efficiency while improving service quality
- Work with solution architects and partners to confirm developed solutions align with existing standards, meet security controls and meet cloud computing best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance the Azure cloud environment
- Stay up to date with the latest Azure features, tools, and best practices, and share this knowledge to the team
- Work with scrum teams on Observability and Monitoring needs and implement solutions by collaborating with Observability team
- Work with the Product Owner(s) on helping identify the infrastructure needs for new features
- 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure cross platform technology areas, with an emphasis on implementation and maintenance
- 5+ years of experience building, deploying and managing public cloud IaaS and PaaS services
- Configuration management, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsets including (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and Chef)
- Scripting and automation of builds, workflows, tasks and other integration aspects
- Experience building an automated cloud infrastructure across Prod and Non-Prod environments
- Experience in DevSecOps using GitHub, jFrog, and Octopus setup
- Experience in Monitoring and Observability software, Uptime tracking and managing Highly Available API services
- Experience tracing and troubleshooting issues in Hybrid environments
- Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows server administration
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- $100,000 - $180,000 base salary per year in the state of WA - New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
