Join an outstanding multi-disciplinary team including an on-staff psychiatric team and licensed clinical staff. Klamath Basin Behavioral Health is an accredited NHSC facility.

The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

Skills Builder Pay Range:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Salary: $20.10 - $25.10 DOE

Skills Builder Summary: Join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team as a Skills Builder and make a lasting impact on our clients' lives! As a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, you will provide targeted skills-building interventions that empower clients to thrive in their mental health treatment. As a Skills Builder, you will teach critical life skills like anger management, social skills, and self-regulation; you'll help clients overcome barriers to foster lasting growth and well-being.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Expectations:

  • Skills Development: Teach and coach clients on self-regulation, anger management, and other life skills based on the individual service plan, ensuring measurable progress.
  • Family & Community Support: Collaborate with families and community partners to ensure that skills training aligns with client goals. Provide training to adults in the child's life to reinforce these skills.
  • Crisis Support: Assist clients and families in implementing crisis plans and identifying respite resources, ensuring safety and support during challenging times.
  • Resource Access & Transportation: Help clients and families access essential services such as housing, job opportunities, or medical care. Provide transportation when necessary to achieve treatment goals.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of all services provided within 48 hours. Actively participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and integrated care.

Success in This Role Looks Like:

  • Achieving Client Goals: Consistently help clients develop the skills needed to achieve success as outlined in their service plans.
  • Productivity: Meet or exceed the monthly productivity goal by delivering billable services, such as individual skills training and case management, targeting an average of $8,000 per month.
  • Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with families, community partners, and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to client care.
  • Timely Documentation: Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time, supporting agency compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications: Must meet Oregon State (OARS) requirements and hold MHACBO certification as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA).

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field.
  • A combination of at least three years of relevant work, education, or training.
