Staff Accountant

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of their Finance Department. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes for this nonprofit organization. The Ideal candidate will be driven by a passion for making a positive impact through nonprofit work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process billings for various services, including rents and asset management.
• Monitor and reconcile outstanding balances.
• Generate reports for grants and other financial activities.
• Upload financial data from third-party management companies into their accounting system.
• Conduct monthly trial balance comparisons to verify data accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to address any discrepancies or adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Salary: $24-26 an hour
