Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN SICU - Surgical Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Oregon.

ICU SURGICAL RN Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements). Orientation for this unit will be held bi-weekly on Mondays. i.e. 9/30, 10/14, 10/28 etc Shift: 3x12 Nights (1) Ratios: 1:2 Years of Experience REQ: Minimum 2 years required of Critical Care Experience. Must have CVICU, SICU, or Neuro ICU in work history. Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred. Management of ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP. Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH, non-traumatic SAH, seizures. Nursing care of patients post tPA, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, carotid artery stenting and intra-cranial stenting. Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents. Completion of complex neurological assessments/scales. Need a strong Critical care nurse, post open heart, CV surgeon on staff. Manager is interested in the traveler's proficiency in: Next Stage CRRT, IABPs, Impella, or Ventrics and if they would like to continue to practice their skill at SHRB. Epic Experience REQ? 1 year of Epic experience is required. First-Timers Accepted: I am looking for a trained nurse with experience. Would prefer an experienced traveler with 2-3 prior completed assignments. Weekend REQ: Must be open to working any and all days. Certs REQ: Required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or TCAR, NIHSS; Preferred: CCRN, CSC, SCRN and TCRN. Skills REQ: Must have CVICU, SICU, or Neuro ICU in work history. Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac. Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, Travelers float between SICU and MICU. Also float to Telemetry, Acute Care (neurology, Surgical, Ortho/Med) Obs, ED boarding. MUST BE OK WITH FLOATING! Locals Accepted: Preferably no locals. Pending License Accepted: Yes RTO Restrictions: Traveler are there to fill the gaps. Will not approve more than 1 GWW of PTO. Manager always need 13 working weeks and allows RTO for one Holiday. Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Level 2 Trauma, CABG, ELVO, Donor, Neurosurgery, MI, Acute Stroke, Post cardiac arrest, Post surgical care (whipple, Liver resection, amputations etc.). CVICU, SICU and Neuro ICU - has to have one of these in their work history. Any special procedure done on the unit? Insertion of Chest tubes, central lines, PICCS, bedside tracheostomy, Keo tube placement, IO insertion, Codes, Massive transfusion team, back up for Hospital Cardiac Arrest Team, & back up for Rapid Response Team, intubation, & insertion ventric, Cardiac cooling catheter, cardiac cooling pads, removal of femoral cath Common Equipment: Ventric, Bolts, Pa Catheters, right/left Impellla CRRT, IABP, and Zoll cooling catheter, and Artic Sun pads, pacers. Titrate Vasoactive Drips: Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Vasopressin, Neosnyephrine, Nipride, Nicarapine, Epinephirine, Nitroglycerine, Cardizem, Esmolol.
