Position Summary (What are the end results or objectives of this position and who benefits?)

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the offices, restrooms, break rooms, and general plant areas; maintain facility grounds.

Primary Duties (What functions and responsibilities does this position perform to achieve the above summary?)

Perform duties on daily checklist.

Responsible for snow removal on sidewalks, spreading salt, etc. during winter months.

Empty trash barrels inside the plant, maintenance shop, outside entrances & break areas.

Clean front offices

Sweep and mop all restrooms.

Clean microwaves, sweep and mop all break rooms.

Adhere to the Leggett & Platt safety, environmental, and conduct Policies.

Has the authority to perform the following:

Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities related to product, process and/or the system.

Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system:

Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels;

Verify the implementation of solutions;

Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

Other Duties and Responsibilities (Duties performed occasionally or in addition to essential duties)

Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the general plant areas.

Management may assign other duties not covered in this description. All employees are expected to carry out any reasonable assignment.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required (List specific education, experience, training/certification, proficiencies needed. Must support the essential duties and serve as primary criteria for selecting/rejecting candidates)

Must be capable of handling multiple tasks at once.

Must be able to lift up to medium weight, bend and twist repeatedly.

Must be able to work well with others.

Must adhere to all safety and environmental policies.

Must be committed to ISO- and Continuous Improvement.

Preferred or Desired Qualifications (List any further qualifications you would prefer the ideal candidate to have)

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibility (Indicate the number and type of employees supervised, level of hire/fire authority or recommendations)

Working Conditions (Indicate amount of travel, unusual work hours/shifts or environmental conditions)

Normal industrial exposure to dust and debris.

Seasonal exposure to the natural elements.

Intermittent exposure to above average noise levels requiring hearing protection.

Overtime may be required.
