Infectious Disease opening in PA - Located in Bethlehem, PA - Full-time, permanent positionPosition Overview:Physician provides medical services in the general care and treatment of patients in both practice and hospital settings. Physician provides comprehensive medical services for patients on a continuing basis. Physician will provide high quality, cost effective medical care. This individual will also participate in quality, patient satisfaction and performance improvement initiatives.Responsibilities: - Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen. - Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine. - Make best efforts to adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines that have been approved by the medical staff. - Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range or treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated. - Provide regular, timely, and appropriate communication with referring physicians, patients and their families. - Participates in education of patients and their families. - Evaluates and implements patient health care needs. - Performs routine exams and obtains patient histories. - Manages patient treatment program based on assessment of needs. - Initiates treatment via prescriptions, diagnostic tests, exams and procedures. - Reviews lab results and plans actions according to results. Performs routine health maintenance activities for new and established patients.
