Title: CNC Machinist

Mills & Lathes CNC & Manual - (HAAS, Mazak, Mori, Hardinge, & Sharp)

Type: Direct Hire, Benefited (W-2)

Compensation: $47,840-$62,400/yr. + 6mo. & 12mo. Pay Raises + O/T

Their machinists specialize in multi-axis high precision machining for customers' critical-application needs. Responsibilities:

Prioritize, plan, and prepare work. Analyze tasks and establish an appropriate sequence of operations.

Read blueprints and job orders for product specifications, number of parts to be machined, material specifications, machining stock, and due dates.

Set up and operate various manual and 5-axis CNC lathes and CNC mills made by Haas, Mazak, Mori, Hardinge.

Select correct tooling, speeds, and feed rates for each operation according to requirements and knowledge of metal properties and abrasives.

Verify dimensions of ground workpiece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as micrometers, comparators, calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, and load test equipment.

Check machines for proper maintenance and preparation before starting each job.

Machine components to blueprint specifications and stock allowances.

Operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment.

Qualifications:

Four years of precision machining experience OR journeymen papers.

Willingness to cross-train on different equipment.

Excellent blueprint reading, understanding of GD&T, mechanical, and math abilities.

Experience with CNC lathes and mills ( preferred: 5-axis HAAS mills and Mazak, Mori, and Hardinge lathes)

Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and comparators.

Familiarity with controls including HAAS, Fanuc, and Mazcontrol, with minor program edits at the controller level.

Experience with manual mills and lathes ( Preferred : Sharp)

Commitment to quality, speed, and accuracy, and maximizing acceptable product percentages.

Candidates must be able to work shifts, lift up to 40 lbs., and stand 8-10 hours per day.

High school diploma or GED minimum.
