Our DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Advanced Engineering Technician position that just opened in Canonsburg, PA. In this role you'll act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. To be considered, you will have an Associate's Degree plus 5 years of relevant experience. Must have an active Secret Security Clearance at the time of hire. Location: Canonsburg, PA
Position: Senior Advanced Engineering Technician
Contract: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct/permanent
Pay: $36.66/hour
Telecommute: Onsite NOTE: An active Secret Security Clearance is required Overview:
The Senior Advanced Engineering Technician will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Duties and Tasks:
-Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces
-Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level
-Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
-Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems Requirements:
-Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
-Active Secret Security Clearance required
-Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions
-Distinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards and practices
