Job description

Duties Maintain product inventory utilizing an automated logistics control system. Conduct data inquiries in an automated tracking system to identify root causes of inventory variances. Perform material handling duties for missile components in support of their storage location. Handle explosive/hazardous items, complying with safety and special handling standards. Transport materials by operating motor vehicles (up to a 5 ton capacity) and/or forklifts (up to 10,000 lb capacity). Requirements Conditions of Employment Term trial period of one year may be required. This is a shift position, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 PM-6:30 AM EST. Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance. Business travel/temporary duty (TDY) may be required up to 15% of the time. Mobility Agreement required to assigned areas world-wide to support the mission. This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968; persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible. Ammunition certification in accordance with AMC-R 350-4 is required within one year of appointment. Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives Screening in accordance with AR 190-11 required initially and annually. Pre-employment and annual physical examinations required. Position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter. Lifting requirement up to 50 lbs. Position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid forklift license. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required. This is a term position scheduled to last 13 months, may be extended up to a maximum of 6 years, and cannot be converted to permanent. Qualifications Please limit your resume to 5 pages. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing product inventory using automated tracking systems; 2) Identifying causes of inventory variances by conducting data inquiries; AND 3) Operating forklifts and motor vehicles to transport inventory. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
