Job Overview
GHR Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our client in East Stroudsburg, PA where you can enjoy snow tubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and more!

In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials and advanced imaging technologies. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.

Duties
Conduct nuclear medicine scans, including PET scans, to assist in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, adhering to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with physicians to evaluate diagnostic images and provide insights on patient conditions.
Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, patient information, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines related to nuclear medicine practices.
Educate patients about the procedures they will undergo, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.

Experience
Candidates should possess a strong foundation in the following areas:
NMTCB certified & BLS
Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of human anatomy relevant to imaging procedures.
Physiology knowledge: Familiarity with bodily functions and systems as they relate to medical imaging.
Nuclear medicine: Proficiency in the principles and practices of nuclear medicine technology.
Medical imaging: Experience with various imaging modalities and techniques.
Diagnostic evaluation: Ability to assess images for abnormalities or conditions effectively.
Aseptic technique: Knowledge of sterile practices when handling radiopharmaceuticals.
Medical terminology: Proficiency in medical language for effective communication within the healthcare team.
