UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Hamot , would like to introduce you to an opportunity to practice cardiology in Erie, PA, known as the Flagship City located on the southern shore of Lake Erie. The practice is constructed of 27 cardiologists providing care to the residents of the Tri-State region (Northwestern Pennsylvania, Western New York, Northeastern Ohio).
Join an exceptional team of five Interventional Cardiologists, supported by a well-trained and highly skilled staff, including 22 Advanced Practice Providers. You would be joining a busy, high volume cardiology department that is a collaborative team. Working side by side with skilled non-invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiac surgery, the cardiologists provide the highest level of quality cardiovascular care to the community.
This opportunity will allow you to live in a beautiful, four-season, affordable city on the water, in a family- friendly community with short commutes to the hospital from many surrounding neighborhoods. Plus, Erie is situated less than two hours from Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Buffalo. Toronto is less than four hours away.

- Interventional cardiologist to join full-service cardiology group. Cardiac cath, PCI including complex and high-risk procedures, TAVR, PFO closure, and peripheral vascular intervention. Physicians without structural experience are welcome to apply.
- Technologies include: EMR advanced imaging/hybrid labs, LV/RV support devices, and ECMO.
- State of the art 16 bed CVICU in new critical care tower opened January of 2020, with 24/7 critical care medicine support available.
- Four dedicated Cath Labs.
- The ideal physician is a cardiology fellowship-trained, and board certified/board eligible.
- Two-year senior status track.
- Cardiology call: shared with 11 physicians, STEMI call shared with 6 interventionalists
Candidates can expect:
