Responsibilities:

Mammography Expertise: Perform screening and/or diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols, demonstrating a thorough understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Image Quality: Maintain a high degree of accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and image evaluation to optimize patient imaging and care while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards.

Patient Care: Provide compassionate and patient-centered care, ensuring patient comfort and addressing any concerns.

Technical Skills: Utilize independent professional judgment and critical thinking to obtain diagnostic information, seeking guidance from a qualified interpreting physician when needed.

Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to state and federal regulations and maintain knowledge of quality control and quality assurance requirements for mammography.

Quality Improvement: Participate in ongoing quality improvement processes and continually assess professional performance.

Qualifications:

Education:

Post High School Diploma Program

Experience:

Relevant experience in mammography or radiology.

Certifications and Licensure:

BLS Certification

RT (R) or RT (R)(M) certification.

Required Skills:

Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
