Education/experience:
Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
Has successfully completed the NBCOT national examination
1 year pediatric experience

License:
Occupational Therapy License for the state of Pennsylvania

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Occupational therapists are responsible for providing specialized Early Intervention support for families who have concerns for their child to achieve independence in all areas of their lives. They encourage families to be involved because they have the biggest impact on their little ones and set the best example.
Meet with families in their natural environment to coach parents/caregivers on implementing strategies to promote their child's development.
Record progress to monitor each child's development.
Communicate with the families to identify their priorities and concerns.
Compose detailed session notes identifying coaching strategies and ways to carry over skills throughout everyday routines.
Complete quarterly reports and updates to the child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Participate in IFSP meetings.
Other duties as they arise.

In search of a pediatric occupational therapist to work with children ages birth to 3 in their homes, daycares, in the community, and/or via teletherapy. This position offers flexibility around your existing schedule with hours you choose. You decide on the number of clients and the areas you would like to travel located in Schuylkill County and/or Berks County, Pennsylvania. Caseload varies depending on your availability.

Our occupational therapists help children live life to the fullest! They can help with all routines such as feeding, self care, playing, engaging with others, and participating in the community. They provide specialized Early Intervention support for families who have concerns for their child who have conditions that limit their independence with everyday activities. Their focus is to help those children with developmental disabilities, learning difficulties, sensory processing disorders, eating challenges, physical disabilities, autism, attention disorders, and many more.
