Senior Cybersecurity Architect Task Lead This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect (Senior) to serve as a Task Lead responsible for ensuring that security requirements for protecting the organization's mission and business processes are integrated into all aspects of the enterprise architecture. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of security controls for IT transformation projects and perform architecture reviews to reduce risks, vulnerabilities, and improve assessment processes. The ideal candidate will be an expert in security systems engineering (SSE), software development life cycle (SDLC) integration, and security architecture review (SAR) processes to ensure effective cybersecurity solutions for customer environments. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Cybersecurity Architect Task Lead: $200,000-$205,000 Pay commensurate with experience. Senior Cybersecurity Architect Task Lead Responsibilities Include: Ensure security requirements necessary to protect the organization's mission and business processes are adequately addressed in all aspects of enterprise architecture, including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and resulting systems. Establish and lead a Security Architect Review (SAR) and Security Systems Engineering (SSE) program that enforces security controls on IT transformation projects, reducing risks before deployment and improving assessment turnaround times. Implement a SAR capability that integrates security into the software development life cycle (SDLC), assigning roles and responsibilities for security tasks and ensuring security configurations are applied to prevent project delays and reduce vulnerabilities. Conduct research on innovative security technologies, processes, and procedures to support the Security Operations Center, Vulnerability Management, Governance Risk and Compliance, and other strategic initiatives. Perform security reviews of planned and existing architectures, ensuring that security best practices are followed for new solutions and technologies. Establish, implement, enforce, and evaluate security architecture and SSE principles, standards, policies, procedures, and processes against industry best practices to provide comprehensive protection across perimeter security, network security, endpoint security, application security, physical security, and data security. Maintain security models and artifacts within the enterprise architecture and cybersecurity repositories to support ongoing security initiatives. Review the architecture of planned and existing cybersecurity solutions for protection of the organization's General Support Systems (GSS), Major Applications (MAs), Minor Applications, and Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Services to ensure security best practices are adhered to. Assess the extent to which planned and existing cybersecurity solutions are properly architected and engineered to protect organizational assets. Research, analyze, and recommend innovative technologies, processes, and procedures to enhance the organization's overall cybersecurity program. Provide security guidance on the integration of advanced technologies, ensuring that they align with customer-specific security requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with various teams, including Security Operations, GRC, and other IT departments, to integrate security considerations into the enterprise architecture. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Senior Cybersecurity Architect Task Lead Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, security systems engineering, and enterprise security management. IAT Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or equivalent). Extensive experience in implementing security controls within enterprise IT environments, including perimeter, network, endpoint, application, physical, and data security. In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and integrating security controls into software projects to reduce risks and vulnerabilities. Proven expertise in Security Architect Review (SAR) and Security Systems Engineering (SSE) programs. Strong understanding of security standards, such as NIST, ISO, FISMA, and best practices in security architecture. Experience working with General Support Systems (GSS), Major Applications (MAs), Minor Applications, and Cloud Service Provider (CSP) services to ensure secure architecture and deployment. Ability to research, evaluate, and implement emerging security technologies and innovations to enhance overall cybersecurity posture. Experience in Security Operations Center (SOC), Vulnerability Management, and Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) support preferred. Familiarity with cloud-based security and hybrid environments preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and guide teams in implementing security solutions preferred.
