  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting/ federal grant experience preferred
  • This position will report on and manage international grants, any related exp a huge plus!

The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity and transparency of the client's international operations. This position will report on and manage international grants and maintain the organization's commitment to fiscal responsibility and compliance. Specific position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with finance departments of international entities to ensure timely and accurate financial data compilation and subsequent consolidation of the information into accounting software.
  • Oversee monthly accounting, consolidation of financial information from sub-grantees, and overall financial reporting for international grants, ensuring compliance with grantor stipulations and guidelines.
  • Reconcile international grant accounts monthly and ensure accurate tracking of expenses and revenue.
  • Prepare and submit timely financial reports to grantors as required.
  • Process, account for, and report on grants and awards in compliance with all applicable standards.
  • Design, implement, and maintain business process documents for international grants.
  • On occasion, due to time zone differences, there may be a need to work outside standard business hours.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience, with federal grant experience or experience with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) preferred.
  • Experience with the development of federal grant proposals is preferred.
  • Experience with the Office of Management and Budgeting (OMB) Uniform Guidance preferred.
  • Certified Public Accounting License (CPA) preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to read, interpret, and apply written information.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and able to learn other software as needed.
  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances.
