Active Day has a great opportunity for a seasoned Transportation Manager looking to "up their game" and support field operations in a newly created role

$55-60k based on experience

As a result, we are adding a newly created Transportation Manager role to our team: Transportation Route Planning and Optimization Manager.

Summary

The Transportation Manager will play a critical role in ensuring our transportation operations are efficient, reliable, and optimized at each of our centers of operation across nine states. The successful applicant will have a unique blend of technical expertise and logistical planning as well as strong relationship building skills. You will master our routing software, analyze current routes, and collaborate with our Center leaders to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology, solving problems, and improving transportation logistics.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities include:

Master Routing Software: Become the in-house expert on our routing software to effectively manage and optimize transportation operations across our network of Adult Day Care facilities.

Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to offsite facility-based staff on the use of routing software, ensuring consistency and accuracy in its application.

Optimize Routes: Review and analyze current transportation routes, making data-driven recommendations to enhance efficiency and reduce travel time and costs.

Collaborate with Vendors: Work closely with the software vendor to identify, report, and resolve system issues, and request necessary enhancements to improve functionality.

Monitor System Usage: Regularly review routing system reports and data to ensure transportation coordinators are properly utilizing the system to its full potential.

Support Process Improvement: Collaborate with leadership at various centers to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across the network.

Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the go-to resource for troubleshooting routing system issues and articulating technical problems to the vendor or internal teams.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:

Experience with routing software or other transportation management systems strongly preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to review data and identify areas for improvement.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and support teams across multiple locations.

Strong understanding of transportation logistics, including route optimization and scheduling.

A background in Non-Emergent Medical Transportation is preferred but not required.
