CGRC's Chief of Operations & External Relations provides leadership to all operation departments and functional areas including administrative operations, open access, business enhancement, facilities, technology, government relations, marketing, and development.

The Chief of Operations & External Relations designs, directs, and supervises the delivery of services throughout the agency to ensure operational efficiency. Additionally the Chief serves as the primary external relations & development officer for the organization.

Some responsibilities include:

External Relations & Development:

  • Establish effective working relationships with local, county, state, and federal elected officials throughout the CGRC service areas.
  • Develop partnerships with key potential partners and stakeholders including businesses, grant makers, school districts, social service agencies, and colleges and universities.
  • Act as liaison and work closely with Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Council member.

Operations

  • Oversee administrative activities through leadership and management to ensure that services are provided in a cost-effective manner while maintaining defined levels of quality that reflect the organization's mission and core values.
  • Implement measurements that monitor administrative operational systems and process effectiveness across scope of responsibilities.
  • Oversee supervised departments' expenditures within established budgets.
  • Oversee all aspects of facilities management by overseeing planning for space, equipment, and resources needed to safely and effectively support the services provided.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, supplies, and facilities necessary for the maintenance and operation of the Organization.
  • Oversee the establishment practices and procedures to be followed by the organization and department team members.
  • Ensure adherence to CGRC policies and procedures, as approved by the Board of Directors, throughout the organization.
  • Participate in the development of short and long-term strategic operational plans, in conjunction with the Executive, Management, and Program Director Teams.
  • Lead special projects designated by the CEO/President.
