Job description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate professionals to work in our Adult Services program in Delaware County, PA, to provide the best possible care for our clients and their families.

What is CGRC? Child Guidance Resource Centers (CGRC) is a private, non-profit community behavioral healthcare organization. Our mission is to inspire hope, to empower, and to contribute to the well-being of children, families, and adults throughout the five-county Philadelphia region by delivering evidence-informed behavioral health services and community-wide wellness programs.

CGRC offers Adult Services for anyone over the age of 21 in need of residential or social care. For adults with more significant mental health needs, we offer a long-term community residential service, the Meson Community Residential Rehabilitative (CRR) Program. This living facility is for adults 18 years or older with a history of institutionalization and/or chronic mental illness that makes living independently a struggle. Our trained staff assist with the transition from the previous residence and into an environment that fosters a sense of community and empowerment.

Under the direction of the Community Residential Rehabilitation (CRR) Residential Supervisor, the Mental Health Worker is a direct care position that will provide for the safety and well-being of each resident within the home and facilitate community involvement/interaction in cooperation with the residents, staff and administration. The CRR Mental Health Worker will facilitate implementation of general and specific household and individual routine/programming while serving as a role model for the resident population. In partnership with the CRR Residential Coordinator, the CRR Mental Health Worker provides a continuum of services, including system advocacy, informational/referral, supportive counseling, family and resident education, and crisis intervention / stabilization.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent and one-year experience in a Residential Mental Health Program;

- Experience working with older adult population;

- Adequate knowledge of adults with mental health diagnosis, intellectual disabilities, addictions, medical, family and multicultural issues;

- Must be willing to work Saturday's and Sunday's from 3pm - 11pm which may include holidays and may include emergency coverage;

- Strong time management and organizational skills;

- Ability to work effectively and professionally with individuals served, team members, outside agencies, business and the public.

- Valid Driver's License and ability to drive 10 - 15 passenger van.

Preferred Education and Experience

- Certified Nursing Assistant.

We encourage and support career development and there are always opportunities for you to learn and grow within the organization. We have a competitive compensation package and generous time off and benefits for eligible full time employees.
