SUMMARY

The Behavior Analyst ("BA") is responsible for the day-to-day design and implementation of the programming within the ABA Services Program. The BA engineers all aspects of treatment to support the execution of clinical treatment plans, ensures treatment environment is set up and stimulus materials match client objectives, arranges and re-arranges parts of treatment conditions to maintain client engagement and progress, reviews summarized client and staff data to inform treatment, provides staff training, serves as clinical liaison for outside clinicians, and participates in family support and training activities as needed. This position ensures fidelity of programming for all clients, delivers training and coaching, and ensures integrity of implementation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Demonstrates ability to conduct functional behavioral assessments and analyses, as well as design, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans

Develops safety and crisis intervention plans when needed

Collaborates and communicates regularly with internal and external team members, including families, PH-MCO Care Managers, Primary Care Physicians, Specialists, and Case Managers

Trains and monitors Behavior Health Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians on the implementation of treatment plan goals and prescribed programming across treatment environments

Implements and adheres to positive coaching practices

Develops and maintains understanding and competency of core implementation systems and treatment principles

Attends and participates in team meetings, and leads when directed, communicates and works collaboratively with staff, and maintains communication with parents as needed

Understands state and federal regulations relative to behavioral requirements

Familiarizes self with most recent research and practice in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and early intervention

Demonstrates flexibility, receptiveness to change, tactfulness, patience, courtesy and professionalism

Assists with the quality monitoring, utilization reviews, and other client, staff, or program monitoring processes

Utilizes appropriate measures, checklists, or other monitoring tools to teach, review, and report on classroom and staff movement through Registered Behavior Technician certification and other professional expectations

Develops social skill lessons and materials to match individual client needs

Designs, implements, and monitors behavior programs for clients

Oversees the implementation of behavior programs by others

Conducts experimental evaluations of interventions

Implement and monitor treatment in support of the ITP

Communicates with assigned staff and team members to discuss programming, staff fidelity, and training needs

Develops and provides training to employees and stakeholders on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorder within the scope of their competence

Maintains and submits all required documentation (billing and clinical) by expected deadlines

Assists with the quality monitoring, utilization reviews, and other client, staff, or program monitoring processes

Completes other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position provides clinical supervision to all Registered Behavior Technicians, Behavioral Health Technicians adhering to the BACB supervisory standards, and IBHS regulatory requirements but does not have direct report responsibility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The following positions or frequent movements are typical of the job: sitting, walking, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, kneeling, and crawling, often for extended periods of the workday. Assignment may require the ability to physically move clients during possible physical interventions in order to maintain a safe learning environment.

The position requires that an individual be able to learn new tasks quickly and effectively. Job requirements may change frequently. The ability to understand and carry out detailed, involved, instructions is mandatory. The incumbent must be able to travel to multiple locations as needed, when needed to conduct organizational business. Subject to inside environmental conditions.

EXPECTED SCHEDULE

This is a full-time on-site position. Days and hours of the workweek are program dependent based on service delivery and program operation hours. Services are provided in the clinic setting with an occasional need to provide service in the home or community setting. When those occasional needs arise, availability may be required outside of typical program operating hours. This position may be expected to deliver services or trainings as needed in line with parent customer and staff development needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in related service field required

Behavior Analyst Certification and Behavior Specialist Licensure required

Successful completion of Safe and Positive Approaches training required

Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders required

Previous experience or knowledge delivering Applied Behavior Analysis programming and methodology required

High proficiency of Microsoft Office products and Internet applications required

Ability to implement, train, and coach other staff on the implementation of services and proper crisis prevention and intervention techniques required

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills, effectively managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines

Approaches problem solving in positive manner
