RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), your primary responsibility is the improvement of resident functionality through therapy.
Treat patients, under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Handle routine treatment of hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, cryotherapy, massage, traction, predetermined exercises, ambulation skills, and functional activities.
Assist in tests, gait analysis, and prosthetic checkouts.
Assist in instruction for the patient and family in transfers, exercises, and ambulation.
Continued support of goal achievement.
Helping patients in their restoration of wellness and independence.

REQUIREMENTS:

Certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Pennsylvania
Long-term care experience preferred
CPR Certification required
